Learn About Jordan

The Jordan Krakauer Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up in memory of Jordan. The scholarship will be awarded yearly to the candidate who most exemplifies the qualities of Jordan. This award is not only for the scholar, but for the person who always stood up for the underdog and always helped those who were less privileged than himself. He was the original anti bullying advocate. The candidate must be majoring in the field of Sports Marketing or Management at any college in the US and must be enrolled full-time. This scholarship is for the well rounded individual who loves life, is outgoing, personable, and passionate about sports.

Jordan was a kind loving young man who always inclusive and accepted everyone for who they were. Jordan Krakauer lived a very full life until he tragically passed away on Feb 8, 2015 from a seizure at the age of 22 . Jordan had a wonderful character that touched the lives of everyone he met. He traveled the world extensively, and had many amazing experiences. Jordan did more at the age of 22, than most people will ever experience in a lifetime. Jordan lived life, loved life and experienced life. He loved to laugh and always made sure it was contagious to everyone around him. Jordan was an avid sports fan and very passionate about "his" Yankees, Giants and Knicks. He could tell you facts about every sport and every athlete. He was lucky enough to have experienced many "once in a lifetime" sports moments and meet many sports legends and icons throughout his life. Jordan was a very humorous, kind, generous and loving young man. He will forever live on in our hearts. He was a very open soul, non-judgmental and befriended everyone.

His passion for sports led him to study Sports Marketing and Management at West Virginia University, followed by William Paterson University.  Everyone who knew Jordan knows how he touched many lives in many different ways. Whether he made you laugh, feel safe, protected you, taught you or gave you advice; we will never forget OUR JORDAN and his kind heart and soul will forever live on in our hearts.
